About

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic School opened its doors on September 12, 1958 with 27 students. At that time, classes were taught by Sisters and held in portable buildings. Instructional materials then consisted of traditional chalkboards, paper, and pencils. Now, 50 years later, St. Elizabeth School provides a quality Catholic education in an attractive learning environment to a diverse population of more than 300 students. Our dedicated faculty of lay professionals brings 300+ years of combined teaching experience along with expertise in many areas.

St. Elizabeth School features state-of-the-art technology as well as a variety of innovative, research-based instructional methods. A variety of extra-curricular activities and organizations, and a strong athletics program enhances the school's academic program. A true sense of family exists, as does a high degree of pride and respect. Parents expect--and take an active role in maintaining--St. Elizabeth School's high standards.

St. Elizabeth School mirrors the socioeconomic, racial, and cultural mix of the community we serve, and is also a strong presence in the community. Recognized as a National Exemplary School and cited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department as "a model school for Catholic education," we continue to earn a reputation for academic excellence, sound discipline practices, and instilling strong Christian values in those we serve.
